The Idea
Children belong before they earn anything. They also participate because they belong. A household responsibility is not payment for membership; it is one way a person contributes to shared life.
Optional paid work can teach earning, but paying for every useful act can blur the difference between carrying a fair share and choosing extra work. The boundary should be understandable, not universal.
