The Idea
Help supports another attempt. Rescue quietly removes the next meaningful part from the child. The difference is not whether an adult assists; it is whether the child still has something real to notice, decide, do, or repair.
Waiting is not always wise. Adults should intervene for safety, overwhelm, inaccessible instructions, or consequences beyond the child’s fair role. Asking before solving creates enough information to choose useful help.
